We are so excited that you’ve created an account with us and are interested in our programs!
Our yearly programs run from September to June. We offer adult classes in both drop-in and sessional formats, preschool programs in both yearly and sessional options, non competitive classes and competitive programs that run year-round.
Please take a moment to read this email thoroughly, as it includes important information to help guide you through the registration process for our 2026/27 dance season. If you have any questions at any time, please don’t hesitate to reach out. The Dance Directions team is always happy to help!
Trial Classes:
Interested in trying a class before committing? We are more than happy to have your dancer join us for one or more complimentary trial classes.
Trial bookings will be opening on August 7. You can book your trials here:

We kindly ask that all trial classes be completed within 7 days of booking.
Class Availability & Registration:
We are committed to accommodating every dancer. If your preferred class is full at the time of registration, we will happily provide alternative options that are well-suited to your dancer’s interests and experience. We recommend having one or two backup class choices in mind when registering.

Please take a moment to review our Parent Handbook and studio policies prior to registration. It includes everything you need to know about our programs, expectations, and procedures.

We’re so excited to welcome you to our dance family! Your registration is officially confirmed, and we can’t wait to see you in class.
Important Notes:
Yearly Programs: Registration fees are due upon enrolment. Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
Adult and Preschool Sessional Programs & Adult Drop-ins: Tuition is due at the time of registration.
Automated Payments: Visa/MasterCard and debit cards on file will be automatically charged for any outstanding balances on their due dates.
Late Fees: Any balance 30+ days past due will incur a $15 late fee.
Ways to Pay:
• Automated Payments – Visa/MasterCard and Debit Cards will be automatically charged for any outstanding amounts on their due dates.
We are also exploring the possibility of offering ACH payments in the future; however, this is not currently available and no timeline has been confirmed.

You will receive email reminders for upcoming fees 7 days prior to their due date as well as on the due date. Accounts with an outstanding balance will receive weekly payment reminders.

The first day of dance is exciting, but can be overwhelming!
The first day of dance is always exciting, but we totally understand that it can feel a little overwhelming too (especially with all the energy in the studio that week!).
During the first couple of weeks, there’s a bit of extra hustle and bustle as dancers settle into new routines, get fitted for dancewear, and families get familiar with the space. It’s not unusual to see grandparents, siblings, and the whole crew stopping by to share in the excitement!
If your dancer tends to be a little shy or takes time to warm up, you’re more than welcome to stop by the studio ahead of time or arrive a few minutes early on their first day. Sometimes a little familiarity can go a long way in helping them feel at ease.
Once they’re in the studio, our amazing teachers will take it from there, making sure every dancer feels supported, included, and encouraged to do their best while having a ton of fun and making new friends.
Just a gentle reminder: it’s completely normal for some dancers to take a few weeks (or even longer) to fully participate. That doesn’t mean they aren’t learning! They’re still soaking up musicality, classroom etiquette, vocabulary, and social skills, all at their own pace.
Here are a few quick tips to help the first day go smoothly:
✅ Bring all required dancewear if possible – Dancers feel most confident when they’re dressed and ready to move!
⏰ Arrive early – About 10–15 minutes before class starts is perfect.
👋 Check in with our front desk – We’ll help you find your classroom and answer any last-minute questions.
📸 Snap a photo & tag us! – We’d love to celebrate your dancer’s big moment! @dance_directions
🎉 Wait for your teacher to call the class in – We’ll take great care of them from there.

❓Q: My dancer isn’t sure this class is the right fit. What should we do?
A: That’s totally normal, many dancers feel unsure in the first week or two! The first two weeks of classes are intentionally used to observe and assess where each student is at, both technically and emotionally. It takes a little time for dancers to settle in, build confidence, and find their rhythm.
We recommend giving it at least three weeks before making any decisions. During this time, our instructors are actively watching to ensure each student is placed in the best class for their growth and enjoyment. If needed, we may suggest a level change or another class that better suits your dancer.
If you’re interested in trying additional classes, we offer a free 7-day trial for any others that are age and level appropriate. Just reach out to the office and we’ll get you set up.

❓Q: What’s this about a recital and costume deposits?
A: Our year-end recital is a professional theatre production that gives students a chance to shine! This season's shows are June ______, 2025.
Here’s what you need to know:
Costume Fee – Added to your account and due by November 15
Recital Fee – Added and due by October 15
Recital Handbooks, show assignments, and ticket info will be sent out in February
We go all-out for recital, with lights, sound, and a real stage experience. It’s a celebration of the season and an exciting way to end the year!

We’re so excited to welcome your dancer back to Dance Directions for another incredible season!
The first day of dance is always full of energy, and while you’re probably familiar with how things go, we just wanted to give you a quick reminder that the first couple of weeks can still feel a little hectic. There’s often a buzz in the air as everyone settles into their schedules, gets fitted for any new dancewear, and re-familiarizes themselves with the space. You’ll likely notice extra faces in the studio as families gather to share in the excitement.
If your dancer is feeling a bit shy or needs a moment to warm up, feel free to stop by early or even visit the studio ahead of time so they can get comfortable with the space. Our teachers will take over once class begins, ensuring that every dancer feels included, confident, and ready to learn while having fun!

❓Q: My dancer isn’t totally connecting with their class—what should we do?
A: It’s more common than you’d think—especially after a summer away or a growth spurt in skills. The first two weeks are all about observing and adjusting, so we recommend giving it three weeks before making a change.
Our teachers are tuned in and will reach out if we think a shift would benefit your dancer. And remember—your dancer can explore other classes with a free 7-day trial. Just contact the office and we’ll help you find the right fit.

Hello ,
Now that classes are rolling and your dancer is back in the groove, we just want to take a moment to say: we see them. Whether they came in with a burst of excitement, needed a bit of time to warm up, or are still settling into the season we’re here, supporting them every step of the way.
As a returning family, you already know that progress doesn’t always look the same for every dancer. And that’s one of the things we value most celebrating each individual journey. Our faculty is continually observing, encouraging, and tailoring their approach to meet dancers where they’re at, helping them grow in confidence and skill in a supportive, inclusive space.
